Teller/Customer Service Rep. - Westborough

We are searching to add an experienced teller to our Westborough East Main Street branch office, with the goal of cross-training this person to provide CSR/platform coverage in the future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing efficient, effective and courteous customer service while performing a variety of transactions including processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashing checks, processing credit card cash advances, etc.
  • Identifying and taking advantage of cross sales opportunities by making referrals and sales in line with established targets.
  • Building productive relationships with our banking customers.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year experience in a teller position.
  • Platform experience or cross-training preferred.
  • Must be comfortable performing basic math procedures and have strong customer service, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Schedule will include extended and/or weekend hours.

Float Teller/Customer Service Rep.

We are searching for an outgoing, confident, customer service and sales pro with a strong background in retail banking to join our team. This position will provide coverage across the branch network in both Teller and Customer Service Representative roles. Therefore the successful candidate must have experience both on the teller line and on the platform providing consultation to new and existing customers in regard to deposit and loan products, in addition to time spent in a floating coverage role. Further responsibilities will include:

  • Building lasting business relationships with customers through the delivery of superior quality customer service.
  • Smoothly and accurately processing a wide variety of teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashing checks and credit card cash advances.
  • Opening all types of accounts and providing customer service on existing accounts.
  • Creating value for customers by matching their needs with Avidia Bank products, and in turn maximizing cross-sale opportunities.
  • Interviewing prospective borrowers and accepting loan applications from customers in accordance with Avidia Bank and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of teller experience and 1-2 years platform/customer service experience, preferably in a float role covering needs in different branches.
  • Strong knowledge of deposit and loan products and services.
  • Must be comfortable performing basic math procedures and have strong customer service, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Schedule will include extended and/or weekend hours.
