Senior Facilities Assistant

We are searching to add a Senior Facilities Assistant to manage the day to day operations of our Facilities team, and to provide various maintenance and project management services to the bank.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance to Facilities staff in respect to day to day operations of the department. Assists department manager with performance appraisals for junior staff.

  • Independently manages small and medium size capital improvement projects, obtaining project quotes from vendors, managing the project throughout the timeline and resolving any issues.

  • Manages relocation of office locations for personnel within the bank, coordinating assigned resources as necessary.

  • Oversees the cleaning and general maintenance of all Bank buildings (10).Performs cleaning and maintenance activities as necessary.Insures outside grounds are clean and safe at all times.

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses physical plant and facilities based issues to determine appropriate actions to remedy the problem in the short and long term.

  • Coordinates with vendors as necessary to make repairs and provide service and/or maintenance.Monitors vendor performance and ensures delivery of quality workmanship and services.

  • Works closely with all vendor sales representatives and oversees the quality and quantity of goods and services.Uses a purchase order system to ensure the proper tracking and delivery of items

  • Insures that physical plant maintenance and equipment are in proper working order at all times, and that supplies are stocked as needed. Recommends procedural changes and system upgrades as needed to support prescribed requirements.

  • Oversees vendors, suppliers and others who are working on projects or systems within the Bank.

  • Responds to initial notifications of facilities issues and formulates a response plan based on the situation.

  • Manages energy management systems to monitor and diagnose potential HVAC issues.

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Five years of practical experience in facilities maintenance or similar field.

  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated competence and success.

  • Project management experience in construction, facilities or similar industry.

  • Superior organizational and communication skills a must.

  • Must be able to work independently, directing and prioritizing activities to achieve department goals and support overall Bank objectives.

  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Valid drivers’ license.

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
