Local artist creates children’s financial literacy coloring book

Avidia Bank has revamped their Avidia Savings Adventure Account, which is their savings account designed specifically for children.  The account includes their mascot, known as Max McNickel, who was named ten years ago by Avidia Employee, Patrice Wozniak, through a naming contest.  Max is a white piggy bank that shares his savings adventures in the branches and on social media.

Avidia Bank receives Bauer five-star rating

Bauer Financial, the nation’s premier bank rating firm, has recently announced that Avidia Bank has secured a five-star rating. This is the highest rating they bestow upon a financial institution.

Avidia Bank Raising Its Minimum Wage to Double the Federal Standard; Increasing Charitable Giving

Hudson-based Avidia Bank is raising its minimum wage to $15 an hour effective February 19, and sharing the benefits of the recent tax reform with their employees in the form of adding to its employee bonuses.

Avidia Bank branching out beyond Hudson

Avidia Bank has spent its nearly century and a half based right around the Assabet Valley, where it keeps its headquarters in Hudson. But now the bank is making a bet on an eastward expansion toward a much more crowded Boston market. The bank borrowed $25 million this summer to finance growth that starts with a new branch in Framingham scheduled to open Sept. 25 at 270 Cochituate Road.  "We feel that the opportunities are east of here," said Margaret Melo Sullivan, Avidia's executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
