Avidia Bank employees gave back to the local community in a big way during 2018. During a recent survey of Avidia employees, the bank found that over 1,200 hours were spent volunteering in the community. Employees volunteer for organizations such as Community Harvest Project, Special Olympics of Massachusetts, United Way of Tri County, Buddy Dog Humane Society, the Marlborough Senior Center and local Rotary Clubs, to name a few. After more than 13 years in banking, accounting and management, Marcy Silva has joined Avidia Bank as its assistant vice president, business banking officer. Silva will be working with the Avidia Commercial Team to actively promote deposit and merchant services as well as commercial loan products.
In 2017, Avidia Bank was about to enter Framingham, a new market about 15 miles southeast of its Hudson, Mass., headquarters. As its staff made the rounds of local community events introducing themselves, they kept bumping into staff from another newcomer to the area, Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Co.
