Avidia Charitable Foundation Guidelines
The request must benefit residents in our designated service area that contains the following cities and towns: Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, Clinton, Framingham, Grafton, Hopkinton, Lancaster, Leominster, Marlborough, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Southborough, Sterling, Stow, Sudbury, Upton, Wayland, Westborough and West Boylston. $1,000 is the minimum request. There is no maximum amount but it must be appropriate and reasonable.
Grants are limited to non-profit organizations. Organizations include, but are not limited to, those which place an emphasis on projects which focus on the disadvantaged and/or underserved. The particular areas of interest are those related to health and human service, housing, education and community and workforce development and, to a lesser degree, the environment and the arts. Grants are typically awarded for a specific project or purpose rather than for general funds. Grants are not awarded to other Foundations.
The Foundation meets quarterly. The Request Form must be received by the 25th day of the last month of the quarter (i.e., 3/25, 6/25, 9/25,12/25) by Mikala Geurtsen at Avidia Bank, 42 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
