Guess Who Just Got a Brand-Spanking New Website? (Hint: It’s Not Us!)
Sure, the new website has our name (and orange prints) all over it.
But, it’s really not about us.
It’s about you.
That’s the whole reason we scrapped the old site. Honestly, it was one of those typical self-absorbed bank websites that focused on all the things we offer and we can do… blah, blah, blah.
What it didn’t do such a great job of was its most important purpose: to help you do what you need to do.
Fortunately, the super smart and talented team of
Zozimus, our advertising agency, and ADK Group, our web development partner, helped us change that and give our website a badly needed extreme, user-focused makeover.
We’ll let them explain.
“We recognize that people come to bank websites to do something they need to do,” points out Craig Herrick, executive creative director at Zozimus. “So, we tried to make their online experience with Avidia as efficient as possible using a tone that’s honest, funny, straightforward, and unpretentious.”
Accomplishing that goal meant eliminating “puffery” and providing straightforward headlines that make it easier for people to find the accounts and services they need to make their own decisions.
One of the biggest changes to the website involved combining the personal and business portions of the site. That accomplished an important goal according to Dan Tater, founder and CEO of ADK group.
“We recognized that many of Avidia’s customers have business and personal accounts, so we redesigned the site so they no longer have to toggle between two separate sites.”
More character, too. Honestly.
In addition to streamlined copy and design, the site features vibrant colors and more of your favorite characters, including our spokespig, Max, and his loyal and humble Avidia companion, Oliver.
