Orange We Glad to Be A Part of Pride

As a bright orange, people-first organization, we’ve always known the importance of community. It brings a sense of security and belonging and allows us to connect with others who share our beliefs, passions, values, and desire to make life better for others.

That’s why we’re so honored to join the millions of people around the world who come together to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with Pride. Pride Month is June 1 – June 30 each year but at Avidia, we’re working to ensure we come together to support the LGBTQIA+ community all year long through a variety of programs and initiatives.

Survey says … our employees want the opportunity to be heard, understood – and to succeed. 

Every individual deserves the chance to speak, to be heard, and to be understood. That is why in 2022, as part of our journey to promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), we implemented an important employee survey. The survey allowed our employees to evaluate our performance in helping meet their unique needs and goals. It allowed us to honestly look at where we are on our journey to social equity and understand the changes we need to create to be where we want to be – part of an inclusive workplace and world.

We used that information to make some important changes, including creating a media-based discussion group where employees can gather to discuss important issues impacting social equity. We also introduced a mentorship program to allow employees to meet, learn, and interact with members of senior management to provide career growth opportunities.

Our Prideful journey has only just begun

We know that our journey to social equity is an ongoing one. So, we’re continuing to learn and grow and open dialogue with our employees and our community partners to do our part to create a stronger more inclusive world where every individual can be free to be who they are and love who they love.
